Slimming Scrubs

by Scrubadoo’s Lauren Kotwicki

I’m serious.  Follow these few tips for wearing scrubs and you will be feeling a million times more confident at work. It’s true, you look good, you feel good, you’re more confident in the work you do and the decisions you make at work.

Scrubs are made to be comfortable, but so are sweats, and honestly who looks good in a sweatsuit? I’m no size 2 but on a 12 hour shifts scrubs better be comfortable or someone’s going to be in a mood. So here are some simple rules to follow…

First things first, lay out all your scrubs and get rid of anything too tight or too big. Yes, too big can make you look like you weigh more than you do so chuck it. Good thing you’re already on scrubdoo’s site so we can find you some replacements.

Monochrome, monochrome, monochrome! Mixing colors will break up the vertical line, which you don’t want. Wearing the same color on top and bottom creates the illusion of a longer, leaner you.  Check out some of these sets Scrubadoo offers.

The perfect pant.  If there’s a pocket in your shirt, why bother having them in your pants if they’re just going to add bulk! Look for pants with no pockets or pleats.  BOOM there goes 10 pounds and has 34 color choices.

The perfect top.  Want figure friendly? The go-to top is a V-neck tunic.  Check out my favorite, fitted around the waist with a fun V-neckline.  A top that will accentuate curves and avoids any excess fabric is a winner.

So say you think you found your perfect set of monochrome, pleat-free scrubs, with a matching V-neck top, but turn out they’re a little big. No problem. Scrubadoo has free returns so send em back and get the perfect size for you.
