The Scrubadoo People

Brett Brohl

Chief Customer Service Rep. (CCSR)

Brett is the founder of scrubadoo.com and runs the every day operations of the company.  From south Florida originally, for some reason he has slowly moved further north his entire adult life.  Now residing in Minneapolis MN, just a few hours away from the coldest place in the U.S.,  Brett still tries to stay close to his Florida roots, often wearing sandals to work (even in the winter!).

One of his goals during his time in Minneapolis (which has now been completed) was to take the Polar Bear Plunge because “How many people can say they jumped from ice, into a hole that was cut in that very same ice.”

Brett has an MBA from The University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University.  While running a company is pretty much all encompassing he does find time for sports, food, and Sara (not necessarily in that order).

Eva Dixon

Communications Associate

Eva is the newest member of the Scrubadoo team and, as a Communication Associate, does a little bit of everything. She was born and raised in Whitefish Bay, WI, just outside of Milwaukee, and migrated north to the Twin Cities for college at the University of Minnesota. She recently graduated with a B.A. in both Global Studies and French.

Interested in world cultures and languages, Eva spent a year of her undergraduate in southern France and continues to have a passion for travel. Although there are very few places she wouldn’t go, Eva has her heart set on Thailand and plans to visit next year. The majority of her time, however, is spent in the Twin Cities where she enjoys hiking the beautiful state parks of Minnesota (when the weather cooperates…) and drinking good Midwestern beer.

Jen Hankin

Writing Specialist

Jen is our newest medical news blogger and writer for Scrubadoo. Originally from Philadelphia, she moved south in 1998 to Cary, N.C. when her parents decided to open up a consignment jewelry store. Jen attended North Carolina State University and gained a bachelor’s degree in Communication, concentrating in Public Relations and Journalism. She currently works full-time in her family’s jewelry store and is enjoying the perks of playing with beautiful jewelry all day long.

Although Jen moved south over 13 years ago, she maintains she’s still a city girl with southern flair. Living in downtown Raleigh, she loves playing tennis, watching any Wolfpack sports team, shopping, and eating good food.

Christian Kowalski

Chief Marketing Intern

Christian is one of the latest installments to the Scrubadoo team. He is an intriguing (to some) and enigmatic fellow who hails from not one, but many places. In fact, the best way to describe him would be to tell you to spend a lifetime getting to know him. A current student of the prestigious Carlson School of Business, at the University of Minnesota, Christian has spent his more recent years pursuing a career in Marketing.

A jack of many talents and trades, Christian finds it hard to list any particular activity he enjoys more than others and we would put them down if the list weren’t so long…

Josh Bona

Finance Intern

Josh Bona is going to be a senior at the University of Minnesota this upcoming fall semester. He is currently attending Carlson School Of Management within the University to major in Finance with a minor in Economics (fun stuff!). This upcoming fall he will be studying abroad in Paderno del Grappa, Italy, and is looking forward to the experience!

Outside of school and work he balances his life between video games and the great outdoors, often taking weekend trips to the family cabin in Aitken, MN. Throughout school he has played hockey, soccer, tennis and he has enjoyed snowboarding and wakeboarding for most of the latter half of his life.

Josh is willing to try almost anything and thinks everyone should just take the time to enjoy the smaller things in life.

Nels Pederson

Project Specialist

Nels has been with Scrubadoo.com since the beginning of October. While given the title of marketing intern and given projects accordingly, he would describe his role in Scrubadoo as more of mentor and inspirer, a man that both Brett and Andrew can look to for wisdom.

At 19 years old Nels is just finishing his freshman year at the University of Minnesota and is already looking forward to graduating. He gives Scrubadoo credit for helping him understand the aspects of responsibility and time management, while giving him an early splash into what the business world is like.

Ever since his days as a boy scout Nels has enjoyed traditional out-doorsy things like camping and canoeing. When he’s not doing that he’s most likely off napping somewhere, or meeting women in his 2000 Dodge Caravan.
